What is the difference between standard and blackout roller blinds?

A standard roller blind fabric will filter the light, providing privacy while still allowing a soft glow into the room. A blackout roller blind is made from a specially coated fabric that blocks 100% of the light from passing through it. While some light may still ‘halo’ around the edges of the blind, it provides a much darker environment, making it the perfect choice for bedrooms, nurseries, and cinema rooms.
